In the One Euro Project, four Dutch jazz ensembles will tour Chinese universities. The programmes are chosen especially for audiences who may not be familiar with jazz and who are not trained in jazz. The low entrance fee will make it possible for a lot of students to participate, while at the same time stressing the fact that attending the arts does cannot be free of charge. According to Chinese promotor Wu Promotion, yougsters and music students in China are often very curious about jazz music, but at the moment there are only a few places that offer possibilities o study jazz. The One Euro Project enables students and young people to enjoy some very special Dutch jazz ensembles. In the larger cities, the participating ensembles will also perform in regular jazz venues.
